Bebelan Pertama

Greetings my first time readers! I woke up this morning and thought "I want to start writing a blog". Selalu baca blog orang lain saja. Especially by expecting mommies & official mommies. Kita pun nak try juga la. Here goes.

Received an sms that reads:

Blackberry model lama, lending it from my sis (for free). See, betapa tak kisah pasal handphone, sampai pinjam kat orang :p

It's from my doctor, Dr Z. She has been monitoring my pregnancy development. The nicest doctor I've ever consulted with. Currently I'm on my 26 weeks and my belly is huge! So this sms came in because my last visit was hectic. I came to her clinic last saturday, early in the morning for my usual monthly check up. Before I can sit down, she said

"Jom kita timbang mommy dulu!"

To our surprise, I gained too much weight! She said that it's time to take up my urine & blood tests. The urine test was taken immediately & so was my blood (both taken before breakfast). She then gave me a cute bottle of glucose drink, the only thing I can consume within the next 2 hours (what? no food? I'm gonna die!).

My dad called me up to join him for breakfast at Azira, Sect 10. Mr N (my husband) and his uncle came along with me and joined dad, mom, my nieces and auntie. But I was not allowed to eat, i only drank up my glucose drink & gulped my own saliva coz everyone was eating like crazy (at least I thought they were, or I was it because I was crazily starving?). Dugaan apa la pagi-pagi ni. Pejam celik pejam celik, 2 hours' up, we rushed back to my doctor's clinic and she took another small tube of my blood. That was it. We just have to wait for the lab result. Now where's my kuih muih & bubur rainbow I tapau from Azira tadi? Yummeh.

What's up with all these tests, you ask? Well, maybe, just maybe.. I have diabetes, or high blood pressure, or etc. I don't know really. But I noticed that starting from my 6th month of pregnancy, if I stand up too long, my feet looks weird. How weird? Macam kaki gajah! I remembered my friend, Eppy, once told me that I must place a pillow underneath my feet when I sleep. So kira level kaki tu lebih tinggi daripada the rest of the body. Untuk elak kaki bengkak. Water retention. So I took her advice. Walla! Every morning, my feet would look normal again like this:

Huh? Still nampak macam kaki gajah? Memang pun. Kaki saya memang besar. Hahaha. But if nak tidur, kaki saya jadi bapak gajah! Tak nak tunjuk la, malu. Tapi if satu hari nanti when I feel like taking a picture, I'll upload it here. IF la kan.

So masa I took the above pic, my cat, Toffee pun datang menyelit. Dia ni memang attention seeker. Pantang nampak kamera. Mesti nak kita snap gambar dia.

"Hi. Nama saya Toffee. Nama penuh, ToffeekesayanganEmmi"

Habis melayan this darn intelligent cat, I siap-siap pergi office. Yep, I'm undergoing my chambering at a law firm in Sect. 13, Shah Alam (NSI). Chambering tu apa? Well, what I always tell people is "Peguam pelatih selama 9 bulan". Kalau tak paham juga tak tahu la. Google sudah. Jangan marah eh, nanti Toffee gigit! So this is what I'm wearing today:

Gambar ni gelap or memang I yang gelap? Dua-dua ada kebenarannya.

Dah siap, Mr N send me to NSI. I don't drive coz I'm a mommy-mengandung-yang-mengada. Hehe. At NSI, I don't have my own cubicle, apa lagi la bilik sendiri. I got even better than that! I got the whole library with it's own individual air-conditioner! Beat that! Hehe.

My work station. I bring my own laptop. Essential supplies, 100 Plus (biar buka lama so gas hilang baru boleh minum), some mints (in case if terasa loya tekak, uwek!) & Hi-fibre crackers (mommy is always hungry, munch munch)

Oh yeah, this month would be my final month of chambering. So nanti I busy sikit la nak file in my long call papers. Long call tu apa? Ala, nanti-nanti la kita cerita. Kalau tak sabar nak tau, Google lagi. Hihi.
